Happy Wednesday! One question we get asked often is: When should I water my grass?
Believe it or not, the best time to water isn’t during the day or even in the evening. The ideal time is early in the morning, preferably before the sun comes up.
Watering during the day can create several problems:
-Wind can blow water away from the areas that need it most.
-High temperatures cause water to evaporate before it has a chance to soak into the soil.
-Excess moisture at the wrong time can encourage fungal growth and lawn diseases.
By watering early in the morning, your lawn has plenty of time to absorb moisture before the heat of the day arrives. The grass blades can also dry properly, helping to keep your turf healthy and strong.
A properly timed watering schedule can make a big difference in the appearance and health of your lawn. If you have questions about irrigation, sprinkler performance, or lawn care, we’re here to help!
