Today, we’re taking a look at a unique drainage project that required a special solution.
Most standing water problems can be solved with drains and catch basins that redirect water away from the property. However, this house sits on a hill, while the backyard is flat, making it difficult for water to naturally drain easily.
To solve the problem, our team installed two catch basins connected to a sump pump system inside a large water reservoir, along with piping to carry the water out to the street. The sump pump uses a motor to actively push collected water through the pipes and away from the home, helping prevent standing water from becoming a recurring problem.
This is just one example of the solutions we can use to tackle outdoor drainage issues. Every property is different, which is why finding the right solution starts with understanding where the water is coming from and where it needs to go.
