Plant of the Week: Pentas
Our Plant of the Week this week is: Pentas! They’re treated as a spring annual here and they love our hot, humid weather. This is because Pentas originate from East Africa and Yemen. Did you know? The name Pentas comes from the Greek word for five, referring to the five petals found on each tiny flower.
Watch Out for Mud Tubes
Happy Cinco de Mayo!! Pest Manager Dylan is here to show us one sign of a termite infestation: mud tubes. Termites travel inside these mud tubes to get to and from where they're feeding. If you see them on your home, it's a bad sign! They're commonly found along...
Termite Swarm Season is HERE
Termite swarmer season is here, and it’s time to stay alert!

Our plant of the week today is Citronella! This is a type of plant known for its intense lemon aroma that repels mosquitoes. Citronella oil primarily comes from tall citronella grass (Cymbopogon nardus), while the popular “mosquito plant” is a scented geranium (Pelargonium citrosum). We treat the Citronella pla
Plant Identification: Goosegrass
Another weed you may be seeing in your yard is Goosegrass. It looks similar to Dallisgrass or Crabgrass, but you can spot it by the wagon wheel–like shape in the center where it spreads outward. Goosegrass can be tough to control, so prevention is key. We recommend...
