We’ve been getting a lot of questions, so we figured it’s time to tell the story 
The old bridge is retiring from traffic and starting a new life as a walking and biking path down to the riverfront trails. And every good retirement deserves a fresh new look.
Did anyone from the state actually ask our permission to use our color? No. Did they need to? Also no. Some colors just speak for themselves!
This wasn’t just part of a carefully planned branding strategy… but a decision based on values and excellence in our city!
For years we’ve been making Caddo and Bossier Parishes look better from the ground up. It was time to take things 100 feet up and all the way across the Red River!
So next time you walk, bike, or jog across, take a second to appreciate the view. That’s not just blue… that’s Matthews Blue
