Happy Monday! Our plant of the week is the Grand Nain, a tropical favorite known for its lush foliage and sweet fruit.

Also called the “large dwarf” banana, Grand Nain grows 6 to 10 feet tall and thrives in USDA Zones 8–11. In colder areas, it can be grown in a container and brought indoors for winter.

Did you know? Under the right conditions, a single fruit bearing stem can produce a massive bunch of 80 to 100 bananas! Plus, the foliage is unappealing to deer, making it a great choice for edible landscaping.

Would you add a Grand Nain to your landscape?
