Today is officially the first day of spring, and that means it’s time to talk about lawn care.
Now that grass is coming out of dormancy, it’s important to start mowing once a week. This helps maintain consistent growth and prevent stress to the grass during the growing season.
You can also go ahead and turn on your sprinkler systems, but be mindful of rainfall. Your yard only needs 1 inch of water per week. It’s important not to overwater and avoid any excess moisture in your lawn, especially during spring. We see a lot of lawn fungus during this time of year because of wild temperature swings and frequent rainfall. Overwatering and having areas of standing water will definitely increase your chances of lawn issues.
Hope this helps, and if you have any questions, let us know! Have a good weekend!
