Account manager Bradley is here to tell us about our plant of the week: Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus).

Rosemary is an aromatic evergreen shrub with needle-like leaves and small flowers that come in white, pink, purple or deep blue. It can grow in containers, as low hedges, or be used as ground cover depending on the cultivar. Like many plants from the Mediterranean, it’s drought tolerant, but struggles with wet soil or high humidity. Rosemary prefers full sun, well-draining soil, and can tolerate partial shade and heavy pruning. Rosemary is used in cooking, medicine, and beauty products and is considered a symbol of remembrance in many cultures. Farmers often plant it near crops because it repels mosquitos and cabbage moths. Lastly, it attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds when in bloom, making it a great choice for a pollinator plant.
